Mohammed bin Rashid launches Hatta’s AED1.3bn Comprehensive Development Plan
Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, launched today a AED1.3 billion Comprehensive Development Plan Of Hatta area in the emirate of Dubai, which aims to boost the area’s social and economic attractiveness as a world class environmental tourist destination in the region.
His Highness said that the UAE’s development plan is on track to achieve ambitious objectives across the various economic, social and cultural sectors that mainly aim to serve citizens and the nation. Sheikh Mohammed also stressed the importance of consolidating efforts of various government entities to maximize the citizen’s benefits from the development projects that are part of the UAE 2021 vision. He also urged the ideal utilization of youth’s capacities as well as the balanced utilization of the natural and environmental resources available in the UAE. “Youth are key for future development, and extending their involvement across various sectors is a strategic priority. We support them to unleash their positive energy and assist them to identify the opportunities to access the job market through unconventional paths, mainly in entrepreneurship,” His Highness said.
Sheikh Mohammed also said that the UAE has several areas that offer ambitious economic opportunities, which are currently being assessed through a comprehensive development plan that involve economic and social development, that mainly aim to boost the development of these areas as it has a positive impact on creating more jobs.
The launch event was also attended by Crown Prince of Dubai H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai H.H. Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, H.H Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and H.E. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, head of the executive office of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum office, along with a number of dignitaries.
The Comprehensive Development Plan Of Hatta area involves three main areas including economic and service sector, tourism and sports, while the third one involves culture and education. A dedicated board will oversee the plan and coordinate between the various government entities.
