The realm of poetry I know by heart
When I write, my verses surpass greatest heights
The love of horses runs through my veins
And God Almighty, who made them, swore by them in His Book
The Steeds’ were glorified when a whole Chapter in the Quran was named after them
While in Al Ghashiyah, the camels mentioned in a verse therein,
a wisdom for those who think
Bestowed by honor, the steeds we treasure
While in Al Ghashiyah, the camels mentioned in a verse therein,
a wisdom for those who think
Bestowed by honor, the steeds we treasure
Riding them brings nobility, and breeding them wealth
Ignorant is he who grills a falcon, we say
So is one who devalues a horse striking bright sparks of fire
No distance can break their powerful stride and will
In Endurance…race upon race before the entire world
I have spent a lifetime impassioned by horses
Riding through deserts and forests countless times
Many thoughts we have shared…and if we differ, we reconcile
With my ways they are familiar, for every horse knows its ride
Shrewd and brilliant, though silent, we converse
With my ways they are familiar, for every horse knows its ride
Shrewd and brilliant, though silent, we converse
And when I’m gone, they find me by the mere scent of my clothes
Shrewd and brilliant, though silent, we converse
And when I’m gone, they find me by the mere scent of my clothes
Just as my poems and my thoughts, horses are free and exceptional
I have devoted my life for them, they are my past and future too
