Visiting Moscow with such a high-level delegation, made up of ministers, officials and private sector businessmen, reflects the great emphasis placed on building new bridges of cooperation by the UAE's leadership, government and people. These new channels will lay the foundations for broader collaboration, and bolster economic and investment partnership between the UAE and Russia.

We view this visit with great hope and optimism, and are confident that it will not only produce positive tangible results, but will reflect well on both countries to the benefit of all our peoples. We intend to work hard to pump new blood into the global economy in an effort to revive it.

We are confident that this visit, where we will meet with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, will lead to new shared visions and ideas, which will strengthen our countries relations, based on mutual respect and benefits.

This will stimulate individuals and public institutions to play a central role in strengthening our historical friendship in cultural, tourism, technological and scientific spheres, among others. We rely on this friendship to pave the way for economic and investment partnership, based on cultural and humanitarian communication.
