Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid has started the Dialogue of the Future at the World Government Summit.
Sheikh Mohammed shared his vision for the future of the government.
He answered questions from Twitter users sent to his official Twitter account @HHShkMohd, using the hashtag #WorldGovSummit. Sheikh Mohammed interacted with the 5.56 million users who follow him on the social media platform.
His Highness then thanked everyone for their active contribution, raising numerous questions for the Dialogue of the Future.
“Governments must be flexible, we don’t need more ministries, but more ministers capable of dealing with change. We want a young & flexible government that would fulfill our youth’s aspirations & achieve our people’s ambitions,” Sheikh Mohammed tweeted.
“The government’s priority will always be the peoples’ happiness. We want a government that is building the skills of its people.”
Sheikh Mohammed also announced changes to the federal government.
“In the new government strategy we will have a way to outsource most government services to the private sector. The new government will have smaller number of ministries and the larger number of ministers handling national, strategic & dynamic files,” he posted.
“UAE President has approved the largest structural change in the federal government.”
